The path to starting my own woodworking business has been quite the journey. Honestly, I am not fully sure how it all came together but I could not be happier. I spent 8 years working in Physical Therapy in Bellevue and Bothell, Washington which was an incredible experience. I loved helping people get better from injury and get back to the activities they loved. My wife and I then moved to Spokane, WA during COVID, after having our second daughter, and both changed professions. I have now changed it again to start Bearded Timber Woodworking.

I have always enjoyed working with my hands whether it be Physical Therapy, cooking, remodeling our home, or creating beautiful pieces out of wood. Timing also plays into starting this business as I found myself with the opportunity to complete my wood shop with second hand equipment from a dear friend.

I have always found wood to be an incredible medium to work with as it is so diverse in what you can do with it. Wood can be structurally strong and also delicate and artistic. It is one of the most naturally beautiful materials. My favorite part of a project is adding the finishing product to the wood and watching the grain pop!

I can not wait to see where this new adventure goes. I appreciate all the support from family, friends, and the community that has supported Bearded Timber so far. I look forward to meeting and working with new clients, so if you have any project ideas you want to bring to life, reach out!!
